Rodrigo Pinheiro (Madd Rod) is a self‑taught producer and DJ who has spent a decade crafting a sound blending nostalgia and experimentation. Based in Berlin, he runs Inner Shah Recordings — a label championing raw electronics and genre fluidity.
Originally from Lisbon, he released his debut album Dystopian Desert (2020), which led to a spot on the Discotexas roster in 2021. After moving to Berlin in 2022, he developed a retrofuturistic style, culminating in his second album Sad Behaviour (2023), marked by punk energy and intimacy. A brief return to Portugal saw him revive the club circuit, launch the Panthera event series, and release Sad Behaviour: Expanded Edition (2024) with four new singles.
Madd Rod’s catalogue includes collaborations like Tropicalismo Dark (with Noporn), After The World Collapsed (NEIN Records), Mind Invasion (Volition), Jumping Jacks (Get Physical), and remixes for Xinobi, Night in Athens, BURAK SIS, and others.
His third album, In Constant Evolution, is now out on Inner Shah Recordings. It explores EBM tension, Indie Dance momentum, and introspective drift — a retro, raw, and relentless sound driving the next movement.
